at the heart of St Anton, Austria – widely
recognised as the best winter party venue
anywhere in the world.
Its network of indoor and outdoor bars,
served by 37km of plastic pipes that keep the
booze flowing, dispense a staggering 5,000
litres of beer every single day at its peak and
enough Jägermeisters during the ski season
to fill a decent-sized swimming pool or two.
Music is provided by 64-year-old DJ Gerhard
who has been playing his four-and-a-half
hour party set every winter afternoon
without fail since 1989. His unmissable show
kicks off at precisely 3.30pm during the

oasis, ASPEN

The Oasis. This pop-up champagne bar in
Aspen, Colorado is right up with the A Team
of après ski bars.
The Little Nell hotel has taken partying on
the slopes to a new level – more than 3,000
metres – by teaming up with Veuve Clicquot
to launch the world’s first ski-in, ski-out
champagne bar.
At the end of every day the team pack up the
mobile bar, umbrellas, flags, lounge chairs
and solar-powered sound system before
moving to a new secret location elsewhere
on the mountain.

For après ski that is cool as ice, the White
Lounge in an igloo village on a plateau high
above Mayrhofen, Austria, is second to none.
Ease your aching muscles by relaxing with
a strong drink and listening to chilled tunes
on the sun terrace, roast marshmallows on
the bonfire, or even try your hand at curling.
But it’s not all about taking it easy on the
bar’s lazy boy beanbags, its Snowbombing
Arctic Disco Nights are legendary. The wild
parties regularly attract acts like Fatboy
