...SMALL WORLD
Nadav Kandar’s work forms part of
the exhibition Constructing Worlds:
Photography and Architecture in the
Modern Age which runs at the Barbi-
can Centre until January 11.
Since the invention of the camera,
buildings been the most enduring and
inspiring subjects for photographers.
The gallery has gathered the work
from 18 of the greatest for its show.
Jane Alison, Head of Visual Arts,
Barbican, said: “Photography and
architecture have a long and shared
history and yet amazingly this is the
first major exhibition in London to
throw light on this relationship.
“It is a must see for anyone interested
in how we understand architecture
and equally the dramatic global shifts
in society in the post-war period.”
The show spans the 1930s to today.
