DAY ONE - MORNING
EXPLORE COPENHAGEN
Start the day with a guided tour of Copenhagen. Let Hans Christian Andersen guide you through the old city centre or join one of the many guided walking tours offered by local guides in Copenhagen. Jump on one of the many bus tours or join the classic live-guided canal tours through the waterways of Copenhagen.
CHANGING OF THE GUARDS AT AMALIENBORG PALACE
Head towards Amalienborg Palace, the official residence of the Danish Royal Family. The changing of the Royal guards takes place in front of Amalienborg Palace every day at 12 noon.
LUNCH THE DANISH WAY
Walk to Nyhavn, the city’s iconic heritage harbour with quaint townhouses and old schooners. Nyhavn is the perfect place to find traditional Danish restaurants serving smørrebrød (open-faced sandwiches) and other local specialities.
DAY ONE - AFTERNOON
EXPLORE A PART OF THE DANISH HISTORY
Visit Christiansborg Palace - the seat of the Danish parliament. Experience the Royal Reception Rooms and visit the ruins of Bishop Absalon's Castle of 1167. From The Tower at Christiansborg, you get to see Copenhagen from above and on a clear day, you can even see all the way to Sweden.
SHOP FOR DANISH DESIGN
Spend part of the afternoon on Strøget, one of Europe's longest pedestrian shopping streets, and visit the Danish design emporium Illums Bolighus, as well as Danish flagship stores such as Lego, Royal Copenhagen, Hay House and Georg Jensen.
DAY ONE - EVENING
DINNER – AND THRILLS IN TIVOLI GARDENS
Make your way down Strøget via the City Hall Square to Tivoli Gardens, the park that inspired Walt Disney, and one of the oldest amusement parks in the world. At night, thousands of coloured lights create a fairy tale atmosphere that is completely unique. Have your dinner in one of the many restaurants in Tivoli.

DAY 2 - MORNING
ALTERNATIVE SIGHTSEEING

Find your way to the colourful and diverse neighbourhood of Christianshavn. Don’t miss out on a visit to the Freetown Christiania. Here you’ll experience a completely different part of Copenhagen with interesting architecture, organic restaurants and relaxed atmosphere.

Enjoy your lunch in Christiania or check out one of Copenhagen’s Food Markets: head for Copenhagen Street Food, the city's first and only genuine street food market, or visit Copenhagen’s exclusive food market Torvehallerne.
DAY 2 - AFTERNOON
MUSEUM HOPPING
An afternoon is easily spent in the National Gallery in the company of great Danish artists or by learning about the history behind the world famous brewery Carlsberg on a visit to Visit Carlsberg. If castles and crown jewels are your thing, the charming Rosenborg Castle in the heart of King’s Garden is definitely worth a visit. Need some fresh air?
DAY 2 - EVENING
