Rum in Brum 2018 is back, bigger and better than ever before - there will be over 100 rums available on the day Food vendors include West Midlands Jerk Centre serving up authentic Caribbean jerk food, Nyam Nyam who serve Caribbean inspired vegetarian & vegan plant-based dishes & heart Cuban sandwiches from sister venue The Dark Horse.
Entertainment will be provided by Dj Mark Magoo and a steel pan band called Steel & Strings.

SUPERSONIC FESTIVAL

The longstanding premier UK music and arts event Supersonic Festival 2018 returns to the cultural hub of Digbeth in Birmingham between 22nd and 24th of June, offering a weekend full of imaginative, stimulating and downright fun experiences, placing audiences at the very heart of its programming.
Whether its through an adventurous and considered musical line up, engaging talks and workshops, or riotous ‘Kids Gigs’ – there’s always plenty of ways to get involved, and this year will be no exception.
This year Supersonic is championing an array of ambitious, fiercely independent, and progressive artists, each committed to doing things in their own unique way.

WOYZECK
Birmingham Rep, 15th - 23rd Jun
In an exciting collaboration between Birmingham Repertory Theatre and Birmingham International Dance Festival 2018, 100 local performers will breathe new life into Woyzeck, one of the most influential plays ever written, from 15 to 23 June.
In this new large-scale theatre and dance staging directors Roxana Silbert and Rosie Kay, and writer Leo Butler, create for our time what Büchner intended for his – the story of a struggle for a better life.
BIRCHFIELD JAZZ FESTIVAL
St Mary's Church Hall, Handsworth 27th - 28th July
Following an incredibly successful launch in 2017, this celebratory weekend of free live music returns in 2018 at St Mary’s Church in Handsworth, Birmingham, and you’re invited!
Friday 27th and Saturday 28th July should take pride of place in your diaries this year as you secure a place at Birmingham’s first festival dedicated to the Birchfield area.
Last year’s event gave us unforgettable performances from the amazing Birmingham Conservatoire Jazz Group, the funky African Roots Fusion band, the melodic Italian composer Sebastiano Dessana and much much more.

DIPPY ON TOUR

The Natural History Museum’s famous Diplodocus, known as Dippy, is taking a road trip to Birmingham.
The British icon is on a mission to inspire five million natural history adventures, encouraging families to explore nature on their doorstep.
Dippy on Tour will be a free ticketed event. Advanced booking is advised as this will be a very popular exhibition.
