Birmingham is set to dazzle this summer with an eclectic mix of events.
From the vibrant Birmingham Rum Festival's tropical rhythms and exotic flavours to the soulful melodies of the Birmingham Jazz and Blues Festival, the city offers a feast for the senses.

Birmingham Rum Festival.
The Cuban Embassy, Moseley. 28th Jun.
Hugely popular since its beginnings in 2015, this year’s festival will once again offer a slice of paradise with live entertainment and reggae beats to transform The Cuban Embassy, St Mary’s Row, into a vision of Havana with exotic cocktails, exciting rum brands and street food inspired by the Caribbean and Latin America.
Ticket holders for the tenth fiesta will be treated to a celebration of all things rum, including a specially curated cocktail menu and the opportunity to sample blends from a host of rum brands.
Birmingham Jazz and Blues Festival.

Running since 1985, The Birmingham Jazz and Blues Festival is England’s longest-established jazz and blues festival and one of Europe’s biggest free jazz parties.
The festival presents more than 150 performances alongside workshops, talks, exhibitions and masterclasses, and almost all of it is free to attend. Performances take place in shopping centres, streets and squares, bars, restaurants, clubs, hotels, art galleries, markets, libraries, parks, railway stations, canal boats, and sometimes even on buses and trains!
Peaky Blinders - The Redemption of Thomas Shelby.

Rambert returns to Birmingham Hippodrome by popular demand with Peaky Blinders: The Redemption of Thomas Shelby. Written by series creator Steven Knight and directed by Rambert’s Benoit Swan Pouffer, the show blends powerful dance and gripping drama.
Opening in the Flanders trenches, the story follows Tommy Shelby through post-war Birmingham, entwined with a mysterious woman, Grace. Featuring live music, commissioned tracks by Roman GianArthur, and iconic songs by Nick Cave, Radiohead, and more, this bold production has wowed fans and newcomers alike with its raw energy and striking choreography.
Colmore Food Festival.

The free-to-enter, must-visit festival returns in Victoria Square, providing guests with a tasty and affordable spread of mouth-watering mini dishes from local traders’ latest menus.
Whether you’re a diehard foodie or just fancy sampling the best of the District’s food and drink scene, the festival will be host to many food and drink stalls, with a range of options available to tingle every tastebud!
The award-winning event will provide guests with an appetising and affordable selection of mouth-watering taster dishes from the traders’ latest menus. As always, organisers are placing price caps on food and drinks, creating an affordable but unforgettable experience.
Birmingham Weekender.

The streets and squares of Birmingham city centre burst into life over the August bank holiday weekend.
Birmingham Weekender is a fun and FREE annual arts festival open to all.
The weekend included colourful installations and energetic music, dance and theatre performances. Plus, there was a chance to take part in interactive games and experiences, including a giant swingset, a family-friendly escape room and an incredible walkthrough inflatable sculpture.
